If you are downtown, its across from the Disney Concert Hall. Don't make a special trip.
I saw the Rauschenberg exhibit here which was free after 6pm on one of the weekdays. They had a knowledgeable person give a talk on his works. The experience couldn't be beat, especially if you are into modern art.
If The Getty or LACMA is overwhelming, MOCA is the place for you. Both the Warhol Exhibit and the Basquiat one were really well planned, and even in the biggest crowds this is a place that is easy to take in. While you're out, hit up one…
